The sculptor was Henry H. Kitson, who also designed the famous statue of Captain Parker that stands on the Lexington Green. A nine-foot tall bronze statue of Sir Richard Saltonstall tops the pink granite base, into which bronze reliefs are set, depicting the settlers at Clap&amp;#8217;s Landing, and Watertown citizens protesting unfair taxes.</description>
