There's no missing this monster if you're in the area. It's big, it's yellow and from time to time it produces huge plumes of white smoke or steam that tower over East Cambridge. But what exactly is it? I've always assumed it was some kind of a powerplant but I don't really know . . .

Ceiling, Sevens, Boston

Go into the Sevens some time and walk toward the back. Take a moment to look up at the ceiling and you'll be greeted by this smiling fellow. The room is dark and frankly the ceiling isn't the first place people look so it might not jump out at you unless you're looking for it.

This sculpture is consists of two metal bands that coil together. I don't have any other details at the moment.

This is a concrete sculture that was designed by Picasso in 1958. This version was executed by Carl Neiser in 1963. When I posted the picture on Flickr, someone from Amsterdam posted a picture of the same statue there. I've asked for him to send me the longitude and latitude and will add a Spot when I get am able. It would be great to find out if there are others out there.

This fine bronze statue of George Washington on his mount can be found near the Arlington Street gate of the Boston Public Garden. The statue was sculpted by Thomas Ball and dedicated on July 3, 1869 after a year of construction.The statue itself is twenty-two feet tall and thirty-eight in total with the pedestal, which is solid masonry. This is a large red dollar sign that had (at least as of February) been located on the MIT campus. I noticed today that this is no longer there - no idea where it went or what happened to it. Enjoy the photo though.
